Thank you for pitching in to support Theatre Arts at Oak Ridge High School. Each year, parents and caregivers dedicate hundreds of volunteer hours to support our productions. From set builts to concession sales, backstage support to meal delivery, there are no small parts when it comes to helping our program thrive!
Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for joining our team of volunteers! We're very grateful to have your help, and we hope your volunteer experience will be fun and rewarding. Volunteer opportunities are seasonal and based on the needs of each show. ORTAB posts volunteer opportunities on Sign up Genius once needs have been determined. Before signing up to volunteer, please review the Volunteer Role Descriptions below to make sure you can fulfill the needs of the position. Volunteer Role Descriptions for Mean Girls: High School Version
Cast/Crew Party Planning Committee
Party Date: Sunday, November 12
Plan, organize and coordinate the "wrap" party.
All details are up to you...you determine time, location, decor, etc.
Day of Show Volunteers (4 Volunteers per show)
November 3 & 4; November 9 - 11
Shifts:
6:15 pm - approx. 9:30 pm for evening show
1:15 pm - approx. 4:30 pm for matinee
Sign up for a date that works best for you to help out at a show. Various tasks include checking GoFan tickets at the door, selling concessions and merchandise, helping with Put Up/Tear Down, etc.* RECEIVE ONE (1) FREE TICKET TO WATCH THE SHOW IN THE RESERVED "VOLUNTEER"SECTION​

Poster Blitz Driver September 22 (after 3:30 dismissal)
Drive students to various local businesses so they can put up show posters​.

Backstage Monitor ( 1 Volunteer per show)
November 3 & 4; November 9 -11
Check in with a Board member 15 minutes before the show. Shift ends after the show. Monitor the students backstage to make sure they are quiet and unwanted visitors are not disturbing the performance. * RECEIVE ONE (1) FREE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET TO WATCH THE SHOW ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8

Concessions Donations
Purchase and deliver various concessions items to be sold at the shows. Donations are not eligible for reimbursement.
